This page will showcase the performances of my guests - there are some who are not afraid to try out my piano and leave a recording of their efforts...
Here's the first entry in this category: my favorite cousin, Lena Filippova, visiting from Moscow, has gracefully agreed to perform two pieces for us. Both are waltzes, and both are in B minor - isn't this a great coincidence?
Here she plays Chopin's waltz number 10... a very delicate piece, and one of my favorites, I may try to record this myself in the foreseeable future:
And here she performs one of Schubert's waltzes, he wrote dozens of those but this is one of the best:
Note how she put on a different blouse to play this piece... a masterful touch.
I hope that this will serve as an inspiration for other potential performers who sometimes grace us with their presence...
